focation.com, the first non US based location startup we saw and heard about today at where 2.0
Great to see the guys here and wish them well with their venture. Looks like a well rounded web application and I look forward to visiting Vietnam soon after doing research on their website.
Much to my disappointment, I was just told by a friend that both Apple UK and US stores are showing the iPhone as currently being unavailable. Sux!!!! This when I was ready to go buy the iPhone and become a user of the “best thing ever” device …. oh well, will have to wait for 3g + GPS I guess.

I will be attending the Rapid Geographic Web Application Development with GeoDjango in the morning and The Open Geo-Stack: OpenLayers, GeoServer, PostGIS in the afternoon.
So Google recently announced support for making presentation using Google Docs. I gave it a very quick whirl and decided that the capabilities available will not make great presentations. A lnk to the published version of this sample presentation is here.
Now, its great that one can publish the presentation to the web, but as creation tool it sux. Will run a test soon on how it copes with a full on presentation made using Powerpoint or Keynote. Should make for an interesting experiement as if it can cope well, then as a online presentation tool it will be brilliant.

Google finally released their Embeded maps implementation. When a user searches for anything using Google Maps and then clicks on the Link button (it’s actually a link, but I didn’t want to says Link link) they get the option of using a link or a bit of html iframe code.
Now I am sure you are wondering where is the embeded map. Well, looks like wordpress does not allow embeded iframes in blog posts. Sux!!
